Experience: The 2015-2016 school year will be my 20th year teaching, all at Hemet schools. I have taught at Bautista Creek and Cawston, and this year I will be teaching at Jacob Wiens and Fruitvale as the Vocal Music Teacher. While my public school teaching career has been in the classroom up to this point, I have also worked as a musician for over 30 years. I have taught preschool music classes, private piano and oboe lessons, and have worked as an accompanist for various amateur and professional venues, including MSJC, the Ramona Bowl, the Redlands Bowl, West Valley High School, and Tahquitz High School. I have been the music director and pianist for my church for the last 6 years, directing their English Choir, Bilingual Choir, and Youth Choir. As a classroom teacher, I enriched my curriculum with music by teaching songs, introducing instruments, teaching curriculum based mini musicals, and one year we even created a music video. My students and I always enjoyed our music time, so I am very excited to begin this new chapter of my career as a full time music teacher.
