Teaching Philosophy

I believe in the philosophy that ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN AND SUCCEED. Being an amazing teacher is a truly challenging and equally rewarding task. Every skillful teacher needs; a desire to teach, motivation to learn, and a positive attitude to interact effectively with the multicultural classroom. To accomplish these goals, a teacher needs to portray as a motivator, encourager, coach, nurse, confidant, and a dream maker. All together these qualities will make successful progression of knowledge from teacher to student and vice versa. My main goal is to help students develop their talents and interests through multiple intelligence's to their fullest capacity. Awareness of the multiple ethnicities, learning styles, and ability levels, helps a teacher use the curriculum as a tool to guide students in finding a greater understanding of their lives, their community, and their future. To meet the educational and character needs of our students is really securing and insuring the future of our society. I know that students are our future, and as such are our biggest commodity. All students deserve a quality education that caters to the needs of our unique and divergent learners. As an educator, it is my responsibility to produce the tools to create productive and positive citizens for our society. In essence, the future of America is found among our classrooms where our youth are educated to make contributions in every part of this world.

Sincerely,
Jason Whitmore
