Workshop for Parents and Guardians: (45 minutes)

“World of Words” provides families with updated facts on how literacy impacts children’s health and well-being. Audience members participate in a fun and interactive workshop that is facilitated in English and Spanish. This workshop is geared for parents of kinder-2nd grade students but ALL parents are welcome.

• The importance of creating a print-rich environment
• Easy and inexpensive strategies to help promote literacy in the home
• Reading to your kids 20 minutes every day
• Tips for reading aloud
