We are thrilled to have the School Smarts Parent Engagement Program at Jacob Wiens Elementary.
School Smarts is an incredible resource for any parent or guardian who would like to become more involved in their child’s education. Led by Ms. Cooper, 5th grade teacher, participants will create an art project and learn about navigating through the school system over the course of seven weeks. School Smarts Parent Academy sessions are scheduled for Wednesdays at 5:30 pm in the MPR.
Participants learn about:
- Parent involvement
- Preparing for a lifetime of learning
- Understanding our school system
- Understanding our school
- Becoming an effective communicator
- Standing up for quality education
- Taking action and celebrating leadership.
